
When setting the crankshaft for grinding, care is taken to ensure that the crank is
perfectly centered and is ground in the direction of it's running rotation.
Tolerances as specified by the bearing manufacturers are always observed and
ovality and taper are kept to the minimum possible, usually .0002" (.005mm)
If the crankshaft has radius edges to the journals this is always reproduced, after
grinding all journals are polished to the correct finish.
